We strive to make your experience as smooth and convenient as possible. Appointments can be arranged through our contact details on the website or directly via the reservations team at One Hatfield Hospital, where Mr Goon consults and performs surgeries exclusively. For your convenience, the hospital is situated next to the A1M motorway and offers ample onsite parking.

For NHS patients, GP Doctors can directly refer patients to Mr Goon by name. The advantage of being seen in OneHatfield hospital is that waiting times for getting a clinic appointment is very short, compared to being seen at an NHS hospital. Be aware that any potential SURGERY for NHS treatment of conditions apart from carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger and dupuytren’s disease, will need to repatriated back to an NHS hospital, in this case, Lister Hospital, Stevenage. This is due to local agreements between OneHatfield hospital and the relevant Integrated Care Boards (ICB). For carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger and dupuytren’s disease, patients with these conditions can have their NHS funded surgery at OneHatfield.
 
For some complex operations, Mr Goon will recommend that surgery be performed at Lister Hospital, as private patients. The reason for this is several, including availability of specialist staff, specialist equipment and specialist hand therapists, in Lister Hospital. The other reason is that complex surgery involves higher hospital fees, and moving surgery to an NHS
hospital will mean lower hospital fees for patients, compared to a private hospital.

Mr Goon holds clinics and theatre sessions every Thursday afternoon, allowing for easy planning of your visits. Appointments are typically available within one week, and he sees NHS patients, private health insured patients, and self-paying patients. If you are a patient with private health insurance, please have your Authorisation Code ready for the appointment. For self-paying patients, an invoice for the Initial Consultation (£250) and any follow-up appointments (£180) will be sent via mail after your visit.

If surgical treatment is deemed necessary during your consultation, we can usually provide you with a definitive operation date immediately. Surgical procedures generally require a daycase hospital stay, which includes comprehensive aftercare with physiotherapy and follow-up appointments. You will have the option to choose between general, regional, or local anaesthesia, ensuring your comfort and preferences are prioritised.

Previous Imaging

If you have had X-rays or scans performed at other hospitals, inform One Hatfield Hospital prior to your appointment to facilitate the electronic transfer of your records. This will help avoid unnecessary re-X-rays on the day.
